As a committed childminder, I adhere to the guidelines of Realising the Ambition and the Curriculum for Excellence, Scotland’s national standards for early years development.
With a firm belief in the power of play, I offer various activities to foster skill development and understanding in your child. My passion for childcare means I'll go the extra mile to ensure your child receives optimal care.
To support your child’s learning and development, I provide many activities and resources for 0-16 years.
As part of my service, I am more than happy to offer breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, or afterschool snack. For the drinks, all children are offered either water, milk or sugar-free fruit juices.
If you provide any food for your child, I do politely request that any sweets or treats or anything containing nuts be left at home. This is simply because it may upset other children who do not have treats and could pose a danger to those with allergies.
I will also record what your child has eaten and inform you via our private WhatsApp group.
If you do have any concerns or questions about their diet/menu/quantity, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and I would be more than happy to discuss this with you.
I implement house rules solely for the safety and well-being of each child in my care.
My home complies with all necessary regulations which include:
I work in partnership with you to arrange any special resources or equipment. If your child requires additional support, please do not hesitate to discuss this with me.
I maintain development folders for all children and regularly update your child's observation book. These records assist me in planning the next stages of your child's development and provide you valuable insight into their progress.
If your child is attending school or nursery, I am more than happy to talk with their teacher or key worker to discuss how I can best support their learning during their time with me.
